Clarity Workshop

A 1-week focused engagement that gives climate startup leaders the clarity they need to move forward with confidence in technical projects.

How it works ↓

Your project is pulling you in too many directions

The list of open questions keeps growing with no clear priority.

You need to put technical solutions together but don't want to be dragged into a complex project with no clear benefits. You're not sure if you need something custom, or if you can do well with off-the-shelf software.

An AI idea feels promising but you aren't sure it's actually feasible. Or something has gone sideways: vendor relations, performance, scope creep.

You keep hoping things will become clearer as you amass more info. They don't.

Imagine knowing exactly what to do next

Imagine finishing a week with a clear, written picture of your project's real state; a document with steps you can act on immediately.

Imagine having the confidence to make decisions you've been circling around for weeks; knowing which problems are worth your time.

Knowing what to say no to so you can focus on what matters.

That's what this workshop is for.

The Clarity Workshop

In a few focused conversations over about a week, I review your situation through a product, design, and engineering lens, and give you a clear picture of where you are, what's actually going on, and what to do next.

No fluff. No AI-generated filler. You get distilled clarity you can act on immediately. The document is yours to keep and use with any team.

  • 1. Short call (15-30 min, free). You tell me what's going on. We identify your key questions and decide if we're a good fit.
  • 2. Deep-dive meeting. You get a brief guide beforehand so you come prepared. I learn your project in detail —goals, constraints, what's been tried, what's not working.
  • 3. I dig into your materials. I review what you've provided —wireframes, designs, code, specs— looking for answers to your questions and problems you might not see yet. If I need input from someone on your team, we schedule a short call.
  • 4. Findings meeting. I walk you through what I found and what I recommend. You leave with clear next steps.

What clients say

"The Clarity Workshop helped me organize my wet chemistry into automatable monitoring and specific experiments.

It allowed me to structure my operating plan so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed."

His biggest obstacle to enrolling? Not feeling ready.

If that's where you are right now, that's exactly who this workshop is designed for.

Still thinking it over?

Who is this for, exactly?

Leaders of climate startups who are building or managing software projects — and need an honest outside view from someone who understands product, design, and engineering. You don't need to be technical. You just need to care about getting it right.

I'm not sure my project is ready for this.

If you feel stuck, fuzzy, or uncertain, that's exactly the state this workshop is designed to resolve. You don't need to have all your ducks in a row. You just need to show up with your honest situation.

I don't have wireframes or code yet. I'm not sure I want custom software. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Some of the most valuable insights happen at the early idea stage — before any development. If you have a concept but aren't sure it's feasible or how to pursue it, that's a perfect starting point.

What if I'm already mid-development?

Also a great fit. When development has gone sideways — disagreements with your agency, a handoff that isn't working, or technical decisions you can't evaluate — getting an outside read from someone who can see the full picture can get you unstuck and alleviate the tension.

What does "3–4 hours of my time" actually mean?

A 30-minute discovery call (free), a 90–120 minute deep-dive session, and a 60–90 minute findings walkthrough. You'll also spend a bit of time gathering materials beforehand, but I give you a focused guide so you know exactly what to pull together.

What do I actually receive at the end?

A clear, brief, written document: where your project actually stands and specific recommended next steps. You own this document and can use it with any team, vendor, or funder.

What if I don't feel like I got clarity?

Full refund, no questions asked.

Why me?

I bring 20 years of designing and building software — from product strategy through engineering — so I can see problems that others miss. A designer sees design problems. A developer sees code problems. I look at the whole picture.

I work exclusively with climate tech startups because I believe the work matters. That means you're talking to someone who understands your mission, your constraints, and the specific ways software projects go wrong in this sector.
